I would like to take the time to acknowledge a few Photographers I've been watching. Some are Pro's and some are up and coming and have shown lots of improvement.
Ok so I bought a Holga medium format camera last night. here's some back ground info about the Holga. The Holga camera was designed by T. M. Lee, and first appeared in 1982 in Hong Kong. At the time, 120 rollfilm in black-and-white was the most widely available film in mainland China. The Holga was intended to provide an inexpensive mass-market camera for working-class Chinese in order to record family portraits and events. After the cameras began to be distributed in the West, some photographers took to using the Holga for its surrealistic, impressionistic scenes for landscape, still life, portrait, and especially, street photography. In this respect, the Holga became the successor to the Diana and other toy cameras previously used in such work. A Holga photograph by David Burnett of former vice-president Al Gore during a campaign appearance earned a top prize in a 2001 White House News Photographers' Association Eyes of History award ceremony.
Recently the Holga has experienced a revival due to the gaining popularity of toy cameras.
I can't wait to use this camera, I just need to find a place to process the film. If that doesn't work I'll have to process the film my self in my garage. I know nothing about film development so I guess I'll have to learn. If anyone has any pointers on film development I'm all ears
I have named you queen. There are taller ones than you, taller. There are purer ones than you, purer. There are lovelier than you, lovelier.
But you are the queen.
When you go through the streets no one recognizes you. No one sees your crystal crown, no one looks at the carpet of red gold that you tread as you pass, the nonexistent carpet.
And when you appear all the rivers sound in my body, bells shake the sky, and a hymn fills the world.
Only you and I, only you and I, my love, listen to it.
I just wanted to do a feature on someone who's talent is underestimated. not only is she a talented photographer, but also great at drawing and writing. If you know her personally then you know she can be a awesome friend. in this feature I want to state to cursed by charm is thanks, thanks for all the tips for all the beautiful pieces of art and most of all thanks for being there for me.
I'm taking the 300 challenge, If anyone has seen the film the 300 then you've seen the physique on the Spartans. Well the name of the workout is "300 workout" basically its a type of circuit training in which I must go from exercise to exercise without rest as fast as I can for 300 reps. wish me luck.
